About Me

Who I am, what I do and a few things inbetween…

Hi, I'm Kes, a web designer and developer living in Newquay, Cornwall, UK. I moved here recently from the mild mayhem of Bristol - and having spent the last 10 year's living in various cities, I finally decided that a move back to the coast was in order. I grew up by the sea and have always felt most at home when its nearby. This fact and a ready made network of friends has eased me back into country living, and so far I've not looked back.

I've been variously employed as kitchen scivvy, tv editor, lighting technician and painter & decorator before finally settling into building web based experiences. When I'm not slavishly cooking up CSS stylesheets and messing with color palettes I relax with good films, the odd book (odder the better), making sequencer based loops and playing the guitar badly. Occassionally I will also dip a toe in the ocean and surf until the sun disappears into the sea.

I've been around the world, taking in Australia, the US, Europe and North Africa but don't consider myself to be well travelled and still dream of far off sunsets. I hope to one day find the time to see Tokyo, Rekyavik and Florianopolis in full panoramic technicolor. Until such a time presents itself, I will busy myself exploring Cornwall's incredible coastline, enjoying a local gig or two and making strange noises on my computer.
